I'm reading the book Lolitawritten by Vladimir Nabokov in that moment, and you should read it also.
It's talking about love between an "old" man and a lolita. The man seems be in prison when he writes the book. I'm at the page 69 so I can't tell you all the story, but it seems really a good book. The style of writing is very good. There's even some words in french (in italics) because the story is happening in Paris at the beginning.
I just wrote some quotes from it :
English version :
"There, lying on the soft sand, just a few steps from our elders, we remained all morning in a petrified paroxysm of desire, waiting for a hitch in space or time to reach us: his hand, half buried in the sand was creeping toward me, her slender brown fingers and arguing in the dark with a slow sleepwalking and then her opalescent knee began his long and cautious journey, and sometimes a chance rampart built by younger children offered us a shelter sufficient to exchange shy salty kisses and these incomplete contacts exasperated to the point our young and vigorous body inexperienced that blue and cold water where we continue to touch and close fastening could not even relieve ourselves. "
"The spirit and the flesh had confused us with a perfection that today's youth, with their conformist brains,
dull and mundane, would be unable to understand."
"Immediately, we were passionately, awkwardly, grossly, atrociously in love with each other, desperately, I might add, because we could not appease the frenzy of mutual possession without absorbing and assimilating up to the last particle the body and the soul of each other, yet we were both there, unable to breed like kids from lowlands have found hundred times the opportunity to do it. "
"While my body knew what he wanted, my mind ruthlessly rejected each of his petitions." "We loved each other a precociouslove with the wild enthusiasm that so often ravages so many adult lives."
The new wonderful song I've discovered from Rihanna : Cheers ! I think that gives perfectly the spirit of the week end, of the partys especially. I was into that spirit yesterday so it talks a lot to me !
"Cheers to the fricken' weekend, I drink to that, yeah yeah, Oh let the jameson sink in, I drink to that, yeah yeah, Don't let the bastards get ya down, Turn it around with another round, There's a party at the bar, everybody putcha glasses up and I drink to that, I drink to thaaaaaaaat."
By the way, the other song which is on repeat on my iPod is "It's a new day" (Will.I.Am). That's an "old" song and it concerns a special event, but actually if you listen carefully the lyrics, you'll understand that it can talk about everything new and wonderful.
"Yeah I woke up this morning
Feeling brand new
‘Cause the dreams that I’ve been dreaming
Have finally came true"
"If you and I made it this far,
Well then hey, we can make it all the way
And they said no we can’t
And we said yes we can
Remember it’s you and me together"
Additionnaly, I'd like to present you the famous photographer Chris Craymer. He's so amazing. Everytime you read a subject about love in Glamour or Elle, or any other magazines, you can be sure that the pictures will be signed by Chris Craymer. He even did a shooting for Glamour (France only I think) with two models who played Vanessa Paradis & Johnny Depp. It was absolutely stunning.
These are the first three photo of my and one friend of mine exibition called alice 2050. The subject is a revisited Alice in wonderland who goes in the other world across a fridge and live in the surrealism.
So it's almost the end of january and i am SICK of winter! Yeah it's been a good winter because England got hit with a massive amount of snow. And i do enjoy wrapping up nice and warm, but right now all i can think about is summer and latitude! (latitude is a music festival near where i live).
If you have never been to a music festival then i strongly recommend you go to one. A whole weekend of live music, festival clothes and meeting new people!
I was lucky enough to see Florence And The Machine live at latitude! it was incredible!
Yes, the title says it all, I want to be Alexa Chung. She is almost perfect in every way, her figure, her hair, her clothes, her beauty, just everything. I say almost perfect because no one in this world is perfect. She is one of my most favourite models, along with Jessica Stam, who is also very stunning! Here are some of my favourite pictures.
